Icelandic Podcasts I Enjoy

Icelandic Podcasts I Enjoy
This series wouldn´t be complete without mentioning some Icelandic podcasts (since I´m Icelandic). Here are a few of my favorites, if you don´t speek Icelandic I think you can just skip these (or get your hands on the transcripts, translate them and get them read back to you in your language of choice)
I do listen to other Icelandic podcasts but these are the ones I listen to the most. Since time is limited I have to pick and choose what I listen to these days and I very selectivly select what I find most interesting.
Íslenski draumurinn
This is a podcast for those that are interested in companies and startups in Iceland. The host, Sigurður Sindri Magnússon, interviews VC’s,founders, entrepreneurs and general business people about their journeys, challenges, and successes in building businesses in Iceland. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone interested in the Icelandic business scene.

Athafnafólk
Similar to the previous podcast, this one focuses on entrepreneurs and business people in Iceland. The host, Sesselja Vilhjálmsdóttir, interviews a wide range of guests from different industries and backgrounds, providing insights into their journeys and experiences.

Í ljósi sögunnar
Here Vera Illugadóttir tells stories from history, ranging from the witches of Salem to the rise and fall of empires. The podcast is well-researched and engaging, making history accessible and interesting for a wide audience.

Karfan
Since I´m a big basketball fan (as seen by my site www.kbolti.is) , I have to mention this podcast. It covers all things basketball. Karfan is from the creators of www.karfan.is a website I go to everyday at least 5x!
Listen: Karfan (Spotify)
Leitin að peningunum
The name of the podcast translates to “Search for the money”! I´m still searching and learning about personal finance and investing. This podcast is a great resource for anyone looking to improve their financial literacy and make informed decisions about their money.
Listen: Leitin að peningunum (Spotify)
Firmað ritar
This is one of my all time favorite Icelandic podcasts. It has now been off the air for 2 years and I don´t expect them to get together again. I listen to every episode, waiting for the next one. The hosts Kjartan Örn Sigurðsson and Kolbeinn Mareinsson whent over business books they had read and had had some impact on them. If they ever come back on and charge money this would be the first podcast I would pay for!
